Police get involved in Kodak Black twerking controversy: Just ‘having fun’

Police were informed about Kodak Black’s salacious dancing at the Panthers-Canucks game Tuesday night at FLA Live Arena.

According to WPLG Local 10 News, Sunrise police said the rapper, whose real name is Bill Kapri, was not having sex with a woman in social media videos that went viral during the game.

Police reportedly said the rapper was just “being young and having fun,” and that there were no criminal charges.

The NHL and Panthers organization have not addressed the situation.

The league appeared to delete a tweet posted on Tuesday acknowledging Kapri’s presence at the game.

Kapri and his date at the hockey game, rapper Essence, acknowledged the twerk session on their separate Instagram pages.

He shared a video from inside the luxury box suite, where they were filmed dancing — and she posted a clip of the new couple from the game with the caption, “To be happy, you gotta not give a f–k.”

On Thursday, Kapri also shared a TikTok video that showed him losing his white pants while rinkside at the game.

The Panthers ended up defeating the Vancouver Canucks 5-2 on Tuesday night.
