Courteney Cox has been photographed for the first time since the death of her “Friends” co-star Matthew Perry.
The “Scream” star, 59, was spotted with her longtime boyfriend, Johnny McDaid, leaving Nobu Malibu in California on Monday night.
The actress seemed dejected as she got into her vehicle after a night out with friends.
She and the rest of the cast of the beloved NBC comedy issued a joint statement regarding Perry’s death just hours earlier.
“We are all absolutely devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just co-stars. “We are a family,” his statement, obtained by People, reads. “There is a lot to say, but now let’s take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss.”
“Over time we will say more, when we can,” the statement continued. “For now, our thoughts and love are with Matty’s family, his friends and everyone who loved him around the world.”
The message was signed by Aniston, Cox, Kudrow, LeBlanc and Schwimmer.
Schwimmer, 56, was also discovered for the first time since Monday’s tragic news. Unlike Cox, he was on the other side of the county leaving his New York City residence at the time.
Perry was found dead at age 54 in the hot tub of his California home on Saturday. He was unresponsive and had already died when first responders arrived at the scene.
On Wednesday, law enforcement sources told TMZ that investigators performed a less in-depth test on the actor that revealed he did not have fentanyl or methamphetamine in his system at the time of his death.
More extensive testing is currently being done as part of toxicology, which can take months. His cause of death is currently listed as “deferred.”
