H&M Studio has unveiled its Holiday capsule collection, inspired by the clever construction of vintage underwear and the raw structures of the Brutalist architectural style. The collection combines megawatt dresses with sophisticated suits. With elegant silhouettes in sensual silk and lace, and a soft color palette, it’s a seductive take on day-to-night dressing. The H&M Studio Holiday capsule will be available in select stores from December 7.

“Timeless dressing and a lasting sense of sophistication define the H&M Studio Holiday capsule. “We wanted to play with corsetry, but also revitalize our favorite styles, like the bias-cut slip dress and sculptural jacket, all in durable fabrics that age beautifully and will delight and thrill for years to come,” said Ann-Sofie Johansson , womenswear design director and creative advisor at H&M.
Key pieces to wow include the voluminous tulle ball gown in a dramatic red, the lace paneled evening dress in blush pink, and the sparkly mesh mini dress with peek-a-boo neckline. Lingerie details update the tailored silhouette, with black mesh-trimmed pants matching the corset crop top and loose-fitting jacket with room for two. Then there’s the timelessly alluring combination of a slinky silver slip dress and a long, ankle-length black coat. Accessories add an avant-garde touch, with geometric jewelry and minimalist strappy sandals.
“Poetic and sensual, this characterful collection balances feminine dresses in lace, tulle and silk with more masculine oversized tailoring, for a modern eveningwear formula,” said Deutsch, designer of the collection at H&M Studio.
Enticing textures are combined with durable, premium fabrics, most made from more sustainably sourced materials. Highlights include organic silk, recycled wool, Lenzing EcoVero viscose and sequins made from recycled polyester. Three of the four pieces of jewelry are made from recycled aluminum.
