The classic cartoon character. Felix the cat is apparently making a comeback to video games, according to a new rating that appeared on the ESRB.

The Felix the Cat game for Switch and many other platforms is described as an “action platformer collection” where players navigate Felix through various 2D environments as he embarks on an adventure to save his girlfriend from an evil professor. Here is the full description:

“This is a collection of action platformers in which players help Felix save his girlfriend from an evil professor. Players traverse 2D pixelated environments while using gadgets and vehicles (e.g. boxing gloves, tanks, submarines ) to defeat small cartoon creatures. Enemies generally fall off the screen when hit; Some boss encounters feature whimsical gun attacks, cartoon bombs, and mild explosions.”

The rating is ‘E’ for everyone and this collection supposedly contains some “mild fantasy violence.” The history of Felix the Cat on Nintendo platforms dates back to the days of NES and Game Boy (1992/93) with Hudson Soft as a developer.

Konami has already released other classic collections in recent years. Last month, it released Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 on all platforms, including Switch.
