The guys at *NSYNC are trying to do some last-minute press before the movie ‘Trolls’ hits theaters, and one way to promote the product is with a group meeting in front of the cameras.
Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ… Justin Timberlake and the other 4 members of the boy band are planning to attend a premiere of sorts later this week in Los Angeles before the premiere of the animated film… which opens Friday.
We know this meeting will take place on Wednesday somewhere in Hollywood, but the exact details are being kept under wraps for now. Our sources say, however, that all the guys started making last-minute travel arrangements for this on Thursday.
It probably goes without saying… this is happening at the behest of the studio, Universal, who, we’re told, wants to try to get *NSYNC in front of journalists and the public in any way they can to promote the movie… They obviously know how popular they are as a unit.
Now that the SAG-AFTRA strike is over, almost every major studio is doing this, that is, rounding up their big stars and trying to get some momentum amid some lackluster box office returns of late. Brie Larson I tried it last week… in vain.
We’re told that if the strike had ended about a month ago… Universal would have planned a massive premiere with all 5 members, but instead, they’re putting together this somewhat smaller event in the hopes that it can generate some buzz. for ‘Trolls Band Together’.
None of the *NSYNC guys have been able to talk about or connect the movie; obviously JT’s voice acts in it, but so does he. throw low, joey fatone, JC Chasez and Chris Kirkpatrick. They all have credits on IMDb… so it seems like their work on this goes beyond that. clever new song.
Now, if you think this public outing as a team indicates a bigger reunion tour to come, you’re unfortunately wrong…sources tell us that won’t be happening any time soon. Justin is working on a new album/tour and scheduling continues to be an issue. But never say never.
It might happen someday… but not now.
