Space Sailor 2 is a highly anticipated sequel to the 2011 action title set in the warhammer 40,000 universe, but it looks like fans will have to wait a little longer. Focus Entertainment has announced that the game has been delayed until the second half of 2024. The delay will “provide the time needed to properly polish the game and ensure the best possible experience.”
Space Sailor 2 It was originally scheduled to release in winter 2023, but it looks like it will be several more months before players can take on the role of Titus. Space Sailor 2 pits ultramarine Titus against the Tyranid threat, a ravenous swarm of highly adaptable alien beasts. There will also be Chaos Space Marines from the Thousand Sons Legion, who will likely offer a much more magical challenge.
I am very interested to see how Space Sailor 2The cooperative campaign of three people results; is designed to be played with AI teammates or a couple of battle buddies. The cooperative campaign, plus the fact that Space Sailor 2 is spread across two worlds instead of just one, suggests it will be a bigger game than its predecessor. Space Sailor 2The game’s demo, available to press earlier this year, certainly nailed the bloody, visceral combat of the first game.
In the meantime, there are still some great games that let you explore the strange and wild galaxy of Warhammer 40K. Dark Tide is a cooperative shooter with a spectacular soundtrack that takes place in the lower levels of a brutal hive city, while Bolter is a tribute to the boomer shooter that also stars an Ultramarine.
