After settling in Zurich, its hometown, and London, Swiss sportswear brand On has established itself in Paris. On specializes in running footwear and clothing, and has diversified into other sportswear categories following its IPO on the New York Stock Exchange in 2021. The brand recently opened a 250-square-meter store under the center’s galleries Marché Saint-Germain commercial in Paris.

“True to On’s roots, our store is based (…) on Run Culture. For this first store in Paris, we were inspired by Parisian urban architecture and the texture of materials common on running routes in the city,” said Nicolas Martin, head of brand environments at On.

More than just a store, On’s Parisian flagship, opened just under a year before the Paris Olympics, is also designed to allow the brand to foster a community of sports practitioners. On wants to make it a focal point for runners and a place where they can show their latest news.

“At the entrance, On’s running technology and collection take center stage, with a giant motion-inspired screen on the ceiling, featuring product narration and On’s renowned trial experience with its Magic Wall system, the brand’s signature installation that provides a complete view. of the footwear range and immediate access to all models and sizes,” said On. Inside the store, On’s architects decided to create a space with a French garden feel. “The concrete modules of different sizes allude to hedges with their texture and rough surfaces, a tribute to topiary art. In the center, the round aluminum podium is reminiscent of a water fountain. Walking between the curved modules gives visitors the impression of walking through a garden,” adds On.

On’s Paris store is next to the Apple and Uniqlo stores.

In presenting its latest quarterly results in August, the On group stated that its goal is to achieve annual revenues of 1.76 billion francs in 2023 and that it expects sales to grow by 30% in the second half.
