Sunspel opens store in San Francisco

British luxury brand Sunspel has had a busy year and that’s not going to change anytime soon, as the brand has just opened its first store in California.

It marks the next step in the brand’s international expansion and follows the opening of its second New York store earlier this year on Madison Avenue.

The new store is located in Marin Country Mart, San Francisco, and offers the full collection of men’s and women’s clothing.

Mart owner James S. Rosenfield said the label is the “perfect fit” for the location, adding that its “look is classic and the quality is legendary.” When using their product, one feels a sense of true luxury and comfort that comes from the knowledge that they use only the highest quality materials. “We are delighted to welcome them.”

And Sunspel CEO Raul Verdicchi praised the Mart’s “authentic atmosphere and curated retail environment.”

As mentioned, the company has had a busy year with its expansion into New York. It also received Walpole’s Made in the UK award this month after “demonstrating a strong commitment to the development of British manufacturing and the accelerated expansion of the brand outside the UK”.

And in September, it named Verdicchi as its new chief executive and Nicholas Brooke, owner and chief executive since 2005, remained as executive chairman.
