
A teenager is among four killed Saturday night in a three-vehicle crash in Carroll County. Maryland State Police said troopers were called around 5:30 p.m. to Liberty Road at Skidmore Road for an accident. Police said a Chevrolet Equinox driven by Charles Black III, 72, of New Windsor, was rear-ended by a Saturn while waiting to turn left from Liberty Road onto Skidmore Road. Investigators said the impact of the crash pushed the Equinox into oncoming traffic and it was struck by a Ford F-350. and two passengers of the Equinox, Barbara Black, 69, and Debbie Hill, 63, both of New Windsor, died at the scene. Two more passengers on the Equinox, Gage Black, 17, and Phillip Ceresa, 15, both of New Windsor, were flown to Shock Trauma in Baltimore, where Gage later died. Police did not immediately release Phillip’s condition. The driver of the Ford, 59, was taken to Carroll Hospital in Westminster. It was not immediately reported if the driver of the Saturn was injured. Police said investigators do not believe drunk driving was a factor in this crash. The accident remains under investigation.
